Our Award Winning Photos Photographers Carol Stum and Sarah Scott formed Creative Focus by Two Gutsy Broads, L.L.C., in 2000, in hopes of bringing you original, signed and numbered photographs for a reasonable price. Many of our photos have placed in the City of Richardson Photo Contest over the years. Five won awards in 2003 and four won in 2004. All were on display at the Eisemann Performance Hall in Richardson, Texas. Technical Information Most of our photos are shot using 35 mm fujifilm with a Canon A2E, EOS or digital Canon D-30, S-50 or Rebels. The graphics program, Adobe PhotoShop, is used to correct color so that it appears more in keeping with the image we photographed. Also, occasionally, we use PhotoShop to remove scratches or dust. Otherwise, you get what we see when we shoot. Red Geraniums was shot through a kitchen window in Paris, France, early one June morning. The photo has NOT been altered using PhotoShop; but we think it looks like a Monet painting. Likewise, the photo of Lake Superior Reflections was by looking into the water in an effort to avoid poles and powerlines. Mounting and Matting For standard framing, we also provide acid-free double mats, white on white or white on black, which we think enhance our photos. If you prefer, our photos are available unmatted so you can select your own mats to better blend with your decor. For framing purposes, we offer standard photo, mat and frame sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 20x24. The 11x17 size and the 20x30 poster size take special custom-made frames. Because basic 35mm film must be cropped to fit standard (8x10 and 11x14) mat and frame sizes, we sometimes recommend that you print a photo full frame (8x12, 11x17) for a more effective photograph. Note, some photos may only be enlarged to 16x20 format. For multiple images framed as a unit, 4x6 photos are used. Framing While we do frame photos, for shipping purposes and to avoid glass breakage, we have decided against selling these online.
